MarbLayer Pty Ltd (MarbLayer, we, us or our) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information when you visit our website, contact us, request a quote, use our Visualise Your Wall or wall-estimation tools, approve a proposal, engage us for a project, or otherwise deal with us.

We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws and, where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies to us, the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. Who we are

MarbLayer Pty Ltd operates the MarbLayer brand and the website through which our decorative wall-finish, visualisation, estimation, enquiry, quotation and project services are provided.

2. The personal information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It may include:

• your name, email address, telephone number and preferred contact method;
• property and project information, including service address, suburb, room type, project scope, access information and requested timing;
• photos, plans, drawings, measurements, finish preferences, reference images and other files you choose to provide;
• enquiry, consultation, quotation, proposal, acceptance, scheduling, variation, invoice, payment and aftercare records;
• communications with you, including emails, telephone discussions, form submissions and customer-service records;
• technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, page activity, security logs and information needed to operate our website and interactive tools; and
• other information you voluntarily provide that is reasonably necessary for us to respond to you or provide our services.

We do not generally seek sensitive information. Please do not upload identity documents, health information, financial records, images of people, or other sensitive or private information unless it is genuinely necessary for your project and you are authorised to provide it.

3. How we collect personal information

We usually collect personal information directly from you when you use our website, submit an enquiry, upload a project image or file, use an interactive tool, communicate with us, request or accept a proposal, book a consultation, or engage us to perform work.

We may also receive information from a person acting on your behalf, a property owner or manager, a referral source, a contractor or professional involved in your project, publicly available sources, or our service providers where this is lawful and reasonably necessary.

4. Browsing anonymously or using a pseudonym

You can generally browse our public website without identifying yourself. In some circumstances you may also make an initial enquiry using limited identifying information. However, we will usually need accurate contact, property and project details to provide a meaningful quote, attend a property, enter into an agreement, issue invoices, verify approvals or deliver services.

5. Visualiser, AI and photo-estimation tools

When you use Visualise Your Wall, concept-generation or photo-estimation features, the room or wall image you submit and related project or technical information may be processed using third-party cloud, software and artificial-intelligence services. These services may assist with surface identification, image processing, concept generation, perspective analysis, wall selection and preliminary dimension estimation.

Images may contain incidental personal information visible in the photographed space. Before uploading an image, please remove or avoid capturing people, identity documents, mail, family photographs, computer screens, security information or other private material that is not needed for the project.

Concept visuals and photo-based measurements are preliminary tools only. They are not engineering, architectural, structural, waterproofing or surveying advice, and they are not used as the sole basis for final project dimensions or regulated building decisions. Final scope and dimensions are confirmed through the quotation and onsite verification process where applicable.

6. Why we collect, hold, use and disclose information

We may collect, hold, use and disclose personal information to:

• respond to enquiries and assess project suitability;
• operate Visualise Your Wall, concept-generation and preliminary measurement features;
• prepare, issue, revise and administer quotations, proposals, contracts, approvals and invoices;
• arrange consultations, site visits, scheduling, access and project delivery;
• communicate about project requirements, design direction, measurements, variations, approvals, payments, completion and aftercare;
• provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot and improve our website, services and customer experience;
• manage suppliers, contractors, professional advisers, accounting, insurance and business administration;
• detect misuse, prevent fraud, protect our rights and systems, and maintain appropriate business records;
• comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, insurance and dispute-resolution obligations; and
• send marketing communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law, with a way to opt out.

Where reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, we may disclose personal information to:

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

8. Overseas storage and processing

Some of the technology, cloud, analytics, communications and AI providers used by MarbLayer may store or process information outside Australia. Depending on the provider and service used, this may include the United States and other countries in which the provider or its infrastructure operates.

Service-provider infrastructure can change over time. Where Australian privacy law imposes obligations on us in relation to an overseas disclosure, we take reasonable steps required by that law.

9. Cookies, analytics and similar technologies

Our website may use essential cookies and, depending on the services enabled and your available cookie choices, analytics or similar technologies. These technologies can help the website function, remember preferences, understand usage and performance, maintain security and improve the customer experience.
